Sliding Scale Tuition: $950 - $560

Over the last thirteen years this program has introduced hundreds of children to the wonders of natural living. It is perfect for those campers who are ready to participate in their very first "wilderness adventure." Time at base camp will be filled with useful work around the village, learning INTRODUCTION TO ADVENTURE new skills, and making new friends. Students will be involved with the farm animals and other chores of daily living. During the week there will be a canoeing journey on one of our beautiful local lakes. We will paddle out in search of a special place to set camp and create our new home. Settling into the rhythm of paddling, campfire meals, stories and songs, our life will be full and rich. Each day there will be time for swimming, exploration, play and wilderness crafts.

ADVENTURES AT PUMPKIN HILL VILLAGE
One Week, Ages 9.5 – 11 • July 25 – 31
Sliding Scale Tuition: $950 - $560

ADVENTURES AT PUMPKIN HILL VILLAGEDuring this exciting week, young campers will enjoy oldfashioned adventures at Pumpkin Hill Village. Each day we will rise and shine to greet the day. Morning chores will involve cooks, firewood and water gatherers, and caretakers of the farm animals and garden. We will then be ready for a delicious breakfast cooked over the open fire. Morning activities may include handwork, clay sculpture, woodworking, beadwork, berry picking or forest exploration. After lunch and rest, we may ride in the horse drawn wagon, make jam, canoe, swim and, of course, play games. After supper there will be singing and storytelling before sweet dreams overcome the tired villagers. This program was inspired by the book Children of Noisy Village, by Astrid Lindgren.

WILDERNESS ADVENTURES FOR GIRLS
One Week, Ages 11 – 12 • July 11 – 17
Sliding Scale Tuition: $950 - $560

WILDERNESS ADVENTURES FOR GIRLSAttention Girls! Do you like swimming, climbing trees, jumping off rope swings and exploring the forest? Do you like to spend time with other feisty, fun and adventurous girls? Join us as we venture into the outdoors together, paddling across a remote lake to a magical, hidden cove, where we will create a wilderness home. There we will begin our mornings by rolling out of our tents to the call of the loons and mists on the water. Days are filled with fun activities, such as exploring the lakeshore, making crafts, and building fairy houses in the forest. Of course, there will always be time for swimming, singing, and play, as we follow the rhythm of the days. In the evening we will settle down for stories and songs before drifting into sleep under the starry sky.
