
Kroka Expeditions SEMESTER Programs
ABOUT THE TEACHERS
Two dozen of the most respected craftspeople, local historians,
outdoor guides, farmers and experts from New England, Ecuador and
around the world, will share their knowledge with students on Kroka
Semester Programs. Kroka senior staff Chris Knapp, Michael Dammer
and Thomas Dammer, and Kroka staff Marcea MacInnis will lead the
programs. Lisl Hofer, M.Ed., and Misha Golfman, M.Ed. direct both
programs.
STUDENTS
12 students with diverse backgrounds will form each group. Vermont Semester: Grades 10–12 and postgraduate year. Vermont-Ecuador Semester: Grades 11–12 and postgraduate year.
IS THIS PROGRAM RIGHT FOR ME?
You need to be open to the challenges of working and training hard, be willing to live a simple life-style with minimal possessions, and be prepared to learn the new skills that will allow you to do these things comfortably, safely, and happily. You do not need to be an expert cross-country skier, canoeist or wilderness traveler, because our programs are about learning!
RECEIVING CREDIT
Kroka Expeditions is a Vermont recognized Indepen-dent School. Students
receive full high school credit, which is transferable to schools
in the United States and internationally. Students interested in
receiving college credit, may apply to Sterling College. Credits
are available in the following academic areas:
